First Volunteer Meeting

Tuesday, November 20th kicked off our first volunteer meeting. Thank you to all who came out during this very busy holiday week! Here’s a brief synopsis of our first meeting:Rayna welcomed the volunteers, and impressed on them how vital they are to the success of the fundraising and as a support base for Mike.Father Ryan opened with a prayer and talked a bit about the Church’s support for Mike’s procedure.Mike gave a first hand story of his disease history, what lies ahead, and shared his determination to get well.Rayna explained our letter writing campaign.Linda gave a fundraising update (The fundraising thermometer shown here will update as we raise money!)Kay stressed the need for continued effective communication procedures regarding fundraising and database updates. Please send any upcoming fundraising activities to Kay. We are asking anyone who had digital pictures of any fundraising events!!!! to please forward them to Kay! We want to post them on the blog for Mike.Melissa Otterbine and Ronna Silberberg were introduced as the point people for the letter writing appeal campaign. The volunteers at the meeting this evening received 10 appeal letters each to send out.
