FRIDAY – May 28, 2010

I’m still working in the basement.  We are re-tiling the floor and fixing the wall and window.  This also gives me the opportunity to also clean out some of the “stuff” that we have accumulated over the years.  My son has arrived in Dominica and picked up the four 55 gal. drums that he shipped.  He is doing well and is anxious to start building his house.  I am feeling better today but I am stiff and have developed a bad cough.  I’m dying to go fishing but I have to finish this work first.  Enjoy your weekend and I will see you on Monday.         Mike

TUESDAY – May 25, 2010

Here is a picture of my two grand daughters fishing at my nephew’s graduation party.  They love to fish.  They were catching little bluegills and releasing them.  I took them home yesterday and then drove back last night.  They are a handful but really funny and they both come out with the neatest sayings.  My son called last night and told us he arrived safely and starting today will begin building his new house.  He was pretty excited.  I feel great today and have a lot of little chores to do.  Enjoy your day as the weather seems to finally be cooperating.           Mike

MONDAY – May 24, 2010

Hello.  Well my fishing trip was not so successful.  Let me put it this way…..we had a nice boat ride.  Here is a picture of my grand daughters in a canoe yesterday with their Uncle David.  He took them for a ride around a lake and they had a ball.  This was a party for my nephew, Peter, who just graduated from the University of Connecticut.  I am baby sitting today because my grand daughters slept over.  They already had breakfast and are now playing with their dolls.  This gives me some time to type my blog.  I feel great today and will be driving them home shortly.  Enjoy your day.         Mike

WEDNESDAY – May 19, 2010

Good Day.   I hope that the rain and cold weather is starting to leave us.  I think that our ground has enough water and I know that we all have had enough of the cloudy weather and dismal skies.  I took my grand daughters to a show in New Brunswick at the State Theater last night.  They saw all of their favorite characters, Dora the Explorer, The Backyard Agains, and Wonderpets.  They had a ball and so did I just watching them laugh and follow along with the characters.  I am feeling fine today and am ready to take my grand daughters out for breakfast.  I will see you tomorrow.    Mike

TUESDAY – May 18, 2010

Good morning.  Well yesterday was a strange day.  I went fishing with my friend and he caught all the fish.  Every fish that I had on would break free.  We had a good time and traveled all over the bay and all the way up to Rockaway Inlet in NY.  It wasn’t until late afternoon that all heck broke loose and you could see fish all over the place.  I am very sore today eventhough the water was very calm and flat.  There was hardly any wind at all.  This afternoon my grand daughters are coming over because I will be taking them to the State Theater in New Brunswick to see their favorite characters.  They have been looking forward to going ever since we told them.  It should be fun.  Enjoy the rain.   Mike
