Boy did I have a ball yesterday visiting my grand daughters in school. They came outside all dressed up in their Halloween outfits and paraded around the parking lot. Kaya was supergirl and Kira was Dora. Well they must have told them that they were going to march outside in a parade around the parking lot. When Kira (Dora) came out she was high-step marching and when I called out to her..Kira, she replied to me I’m not Kira Pop-pop, I’m Dora. It was priceless. Tomorrow I will be leaving to go to Florida for a week with my grand daughters. I probably will not be on my blog until I return on Monday, Nov. 9th. I feel good and have a lot to do today. I will never tease women about mammagrams again. Yesterday I went for one and it wasn’t fun….in fact it was painfull. Today is my daughter’s birthday so I am about to head down to her house in a bit and while I am down there, I will go to my grand daughter’s school and see them march in their Halloween Parade with their class. That should be a blast. I will take pictures but I only wish that I knew how to put them on this blog. I am feeling good but winded. The roofers came just now to do my soffets and eaves. Mike

OH, this weather! My basement is now starting to flood because of this rain. I called the roofer yesterday and after hearing his song and dance routine decided that is enough. So, I called and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and also with my city building inspectors. This may put a little pressure on him. I will be going away all next week to use up my time share before I lose it. We are also taking my two grand daughters with us to Florida. This should be an adventure. I feel very good and will see you tomorrow. Mike

Well the Conference on Critical Life on Saturday went very well. I spoke about Scleroderma and stem cell transplants. My roofer is supposed to come today but as of 10:00 AM I have a no show. I have a dentist appointment later and I am feeling really good today. I think it’s the sun. When the sun comes out it makes me feel great. Enjoy your day. Mike

I am feeling fine. I have been invited to talk tomorrow at the Critical Life Issues Conference in Piscataway. I went there last year before I went to Chicago and now they want me back so that people can see that there is an alternative procedure for Scleroderma. There should be about 500 people there. It should be a good event and a learning experience for me. Also the National Scleroderma Foundation is going to have me on the cover of their December issue and also have a story about my procedure in the same issue. WOW is it nice out today. I finally contacted my roofer yesterday and he said that he would be here on Monday. I sure hope that he comes because with the eaves open it is starting to get cold and now I have squirrels starting to come in and make a nest for the Winter. I am feeling pretty good but I am getting cramps in my calves and some pain in my upper chest. I have a doctors appointment next Tuesday so I will bring this up with him. Mike

My son arrived safely last night in St Vincents in the Caribbean. He said it was hot down there and after he said that I cried. Oh to be in a warm environment. I winterized and covered my boat yesterday. Whenever it comes out of the water, you know that the season is over and the cold is coming. I called my roofer twice yesterday and only got the machine. He is still a no-show. I am feeling fine. I write to my friend Rose who is in Chicago undergoing the same procedure that I went through. She is a little nervous but I keep offering her advice on what to do. She has now finished giving herself all of her injections to stimulate stem cell growth and now has to wait for about 10 days before she goes back into the hospital for 5 days of heavy chemotheraphy to totally wipe out her immune system before getting her stem cells put back into her body. Well my son left this morning to go back to the Caribbean. The cold weather really bothered him also. He was very helpful in aiding me get my house ready for Winter. Today I will winterize my boat and cover it for the winter. Doing this makes me really realize that the cold weather is on the way. I feel good today and just want to get some of these chores done.
